thinking hexagonally...

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but even I'm struggling with the view from my dining table.  My kitchen has been left in a state of undress for the last few years without splashback and tiling, our current design a sort of tomato based Jackson Pollock.

With so many strong designs around, the time is ripe to finally finish dressing her - no more marinara for you my friend.  Now I love a classic metro tile as much as the next gal but I'm feeling the need for a little adventure in the shape of a hexagonal tile to add interest and a bit of drama.

Fired Earth do a lovely marble mosaic hexagon tile in muted shades, or if you're feeling daring why not style it out with on-trend geometric pattern Rhombus.

Thanks to some inspiration from an article in Living etc, I'm feeling drawn towards a small tile - Toto Hexagon Mosiac, which comes on a handy to apply sheet, available from a few well known tile retailers...watch this space!
